De Band Nuchter in Apeldoorn

Yesterday we went to Apeldoorn and attended the BBQ Party... De Band Nuchter (Ron, Fred, Dick and Harm) went there also and gave live performance... it's the first time I've watched them live, I saw them performing only on practices but everytime they have a performance I can't be there because I have to stay home with my daughter... It's good, last night we can sleep there too so there's no problem... We did enjoyed the night even Mireille every now and then dances with other kids there... and the BBQ food were delicious :)

Ahh, Summer vacation is over, back to school again... the past weekends were such busy days... 1st weekend we attended a birthday party, then on 2nd weekend we went to BBQ party here in Winschoten, then this 3rd weekend BBQ party in Apeldoorn... the coming weekend, no schedule yet, maybe it's time then for us just to stay home and relax, but for me it's time to give full attention again with my dutch lessons... party is over!

KFG Christmas Party

Yesterday, we've attended a KFG (Kapisanan ng mga Filipino sa Groningen) Christmas Party. There you'll see more dutch-filipina partners with their mestiza kids. I don't know yet every Filipina here, especially around Groningen. And it's the first time for me to attend in a Filipino organization party here. In the program they show different Filipino Tribal Dances, as you can see in 3rd photo. In the 1st photo you'll see "my filipina neighbors", as I always say although they are living in different street near to us. Ivy and Rhoda are my classmates too but they are in another group (higher level na sila). In the 4th photo you'll us with Inday between Ivy and Rhoda... The past weeks, we made schedules to visit each other's house, first at Rhoda's house, then at Inday, then in our house. Last friday was at Ivy's house...

It's a bit busy in the party, we don't really have the chance to meet more Pinays, but it's okay for sure we've enjoyed the night.... Mabuhay!!

Kinderfeest (Children's Party)

Yesterday, was the first time for Mireille to attend in a kinderfeest (children's party). It's Sander's 5th birthday, he is the son of Klaas and Ivy (my filipina classmate). Here, you'll see it's only the kids in the party and their parents will just then pick them up after the celebration. Unlike in Manila, almost in every children's party you have to count also for parent or their guardian... But just the same, there's singing Happy Birthday, then blowing of the candle in the birthday cake, eating and some games for kids to play... So everykid surely had fun!
Ze vonden het leuke!
(They find it nice!)

Pinay Birthday

We've just attended the bithday party of Angelita. She is one of the Pinays (Filipina) I met here in Holland. In the first photo you'll see Angelita with her dutch husband Simon. And today is the first time that I attended a party here with more Pinays. Like what you can see in 2nd photo, we are 10 Pinays there, actually we are 12, Ate Julia and her daughter Ariane were not in the photo, they are outside the house then... And just today, I met 4 more pinays there...
We really have a nice time there, in combination with Karaoke singing which you can always see in Pinay birthdays here...

Happy Birthday Angelita and Gefeliciteerd also to Simon!

Papa Harry and Tiny's BBQ Party

Today, went to the BBQ (Barbeque) Party of Papa Harry and Tiny (my father-in-law and his girlfriend). Aside from celebrating the birthday of Papa Harry (Sept 25) and Tiny (Sept 24)... Today is the first time that their daughters and sons will be introduce to each other. So our family came there, also family of Ron's sisters Marjan and Marieke, complete with our kids. Then we met Tiny's son and daughter and her grandkids as well..
We just miss to make a photo all together, because it's a bit busy with all the kids and getting to know each other too... and eating BBQ's of course.

Looking back at The Tariff Commission

Every 15th of August, is the Anniversary of Tariff Commission, a Government office in Philippines where I worked as a Secretary of a Director (Dir. Saluta), for more than 6 years...

I posted some photos here of TC Anniversary since 2002 to 2007. And it's nice to reminisce the anniversary celebration we have then, with different themes as well.

I remember in 2002, I got the award "Best in Ballroom Attire"..... Then in 2003, a TC Chorale was created, we sang our National Anthem "Lupang Hinirang" with our Filipino costumes.... And who will forget the Retro theme in 2004, I think it's with the most participants because we have the Modelling as part of the program of the party, so everyone had the chance to walk the aisle and "strike a pose"..... In 2005 we have the theme "Game Ka Na Ba?", copied from famous TV Game Show in Manila, but I like most its Fiesta style, eating together in long tables, Sarap!.. Then in 2006, it was celebrated with "Tree Planting", but then it will never be the same without a party, so we have a party time with Karaoke....

The last anniversary I've attended was last year, 2007... Actually, it's a simple one but memorable too... It's a special tribute to those TC employees who will Retire on the coming Rationalization program.... (You'll see in the last photo, i'm already with my daughter Mireille, together with former TC Commissioner Manzano and TC Chairman Abon, carrying my daughter was Manang Mena my officemate).

Happy Anniversary to all Tariff Employees!!! I miss you guys.

Mama Gea and Papa Willem's Barbeque (BBQ) Party

Mama Gea and Papa Willem (my mother-in-law and her boyfriend) hosted a Barbeque (BBQ) Party, in Apeldoorn. It was a nice evening with the some of their family and friends together. It's nice BBQ Party with especial salad made by Mama Gea... and lively music by Ron & Fred... I'm sure everyone had fun...

BBQ party is common here in Holland because it's a bit easy to prepare... with the ready made BBQ meat for cooking and renting the big BBQ grill, and some drinks, then it's ready. Usually you can have everything needed from those BBQ Caterer too. And after the event, you just have to throw everything with all those disposables plate, fork & knife, plastic cups and disposable table cloth... soooo easy
