Godchild

Last year on May 17, 2008, I've got my first "inaanak" or Godchild here in Holland. He is Morten Benedict "Moby" Kruisenga, son of Mary Ann and Jerone... I remember when I met Mary Ann in Sint-Jozefkathedraal, she was then still pregnant with Moby... Then on baptismal, Moby was just 2 weeks old then... Today, I've seen Moby again his a big boy now...

We've attended his 1st birthday celebration in "Apekooi"... it's nice, the kids have chance to play around and enjoy! I met some filipinas too, hehe! there are lot's of Filipina here in Holland.

Happy Birthday Moby! en
Gefeliciteerd Jeroen en Mary Anne

Familiepark Nienoord

Last Sunday (26 April) we went to Familiepark Nienoord in Leek, Groningen. It's nice there especially for all the kids because of the very big playground. But every now and then we have to go on separate playing station because the interest of Sharon and Nienke are different from Mireille. Of couse Mireille want's to try to play everywhere but that is not possible because she's too small with some playing station. I remember in the climbing balloon, as you can see in the 2nd photo Mireille can reach as far as the half of that mountain (balloon). I have to say to her to stop or else I have to climb too to get her. Ahh, I have fear of height that's why I cannot assist her in climbing, hehe! but she know's how it works after climbing, she's letting herself slide down. Good ha?
I know for sure the kids have fun!

Midwolderbos (Midwolda's woods)

Saturday last week (Oct 11), we walk in the Midwolderbos or woods of Midwolda, a village near to Winschoten. Walking in the woods is one of the favorite recreation here. That's why you'll found many nice forests here to walk on... And it's really relaxing to walk around the nature even it's cold... The autumn had already started that's why you'll see some yellow leaves, fallen already in the ground and some trees here are having yellow leaves on it too. You'll see in photos kids are busy picking up some seeds and yellow leaves to make an art out of it... creative ha!

Martini Ziekenhuis (Hospital)

The Martini Ziekenhuis (Hospital) is a large general hospital in the south of the City of Groningen. The hospital arose from a merger between the general Christian Diaconessenhuis on the Van Ketwich Verschuurlaan and the Roman Catholic Hospital on the Van Swietenlaan. The Martini Hospital also accommodates the Brandwondencentrum voor Noord- en Oost-Nederland (the Burns Unit for the North and East Netherlands)... read more in www.martiniziekenhuis.nl

Last September 30 2008, My mother-in-law (Mama Gea) had operation at her back. Because she suffers spinal disc herniation. Today we visited Mama Gea there at the Martini Ziekenhuis. I've noticed the high tech gadgets they have there. You can watch T.V., you can recieve and make a phone call, and of course you can also go internet... Mooi! (Nice).

Get well soon Mama Gea...

Family Reunion at Sprookjeshof

Last July 13, we went to Sprookjeshof already and I even made blog titled dutch my life: Sprookjeshof (Fairytale Land). But today, I called my blog Family Reunion at Sprookjeshof, but here they don't really call it family reunion, infact it was just yesterday, when Marieke gave a suggestion that maybe it's nice if we go to Sprookjeshof before Mama Gea will had her operation on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Like a get-together of the whole family.

Everyone is there, Mama Gea and Papa Willem, Marieke and Michel and their son Tim. Marjan and her boyfriend Greg and Denize (Marjan's son). And of course Ron and I, Sharon, Nienke and Mireille. It's the first time that we go out, complete with all the family members... It's a busy day for us, but memorable one too for sure.

Slagharen Attractiepark

We have a nice and fun day with Slagharen Attractiepark today. It is an attraction park with so much rides, shows and parades, shops, games, restaurants and vacation houses as well. It is like a Reunion for us here.... Everybody came there; Marjan (Ron's sister), her boyfriend Greg and Deniz her son; Marieke(Ron's sister) and her husband Michel and their son Tim; of course Ron and I and Mireille too; and it will not be complete without Mama Gea and Papa Willem who treat us with the entrance fee. Thank you!

I went to "Looping Star" known as "Roller Coaster", also I tried the "Piraat", I think it is like "Viking" in Star City Amusement Park in Manila.

To those who want to know how i made it, even with "fear of height"... just watch the short video clip i made of Roller Coaster, funny! with the Looping Star of Slagharen, every seats have it's own camera, so after having a ride, you'll see yourself in the video there. For me, you'll see how i hold Ron so tight, closed eyes and obviously shouting as loud as I can all the time, hahaha!

Again, Dank u wel (Thank you) Mama Gea and Papa Willem. We really have a nice and fun!
